Default 68 Vert 427 390hp Expansion Tank

Hi Guy's

Can anyone tell me if this combo should have an expansion tank connected to the radiator or not.
The car does not have A.C

Default Expansion tank

Just looked it up in the NCRS Tech manual. No expansion tank for a 68 big block with or without a/c. Unless it is an L88. That had one.

No Corvette had two radiator caps. Lots of guys have added an expansion tank but it's of little use or function.

My 68 bigblock does have a correctly dated Harrison expansion tank and my radiator has a cap also, which only proves that Bubba has worked on my car bigtime. I wonder if at one point it was going to be an L-88 clone... I mean, why a correctly dated wrong part??

Your 68 should have a four row Harrison copper/brass radiator with a cap; no expansion tanks with these radiators.
