Default new here & surge tank replacement

first off I'm new here so hello everybody, nice to be part of the group.

second, i have a DIY question. I recently found that my surge tank had a nasty crack in it right where it meets the hose that goes to the radiator. The part is on the way. I was just wondering how to replace it myself and what tools I'll be needing. Any help is better than no help. Thanks guys.
