I finally got the motor im my 2001 z06. I bought the car with no motor and installed a ls6 back in it with a 231/237 585/595 cam and fast 90 with 90mm ls2 tb. The car makes a kind of loud whisling noise from about 1000 rpm up to 2000 rpm and sounds like air whisling. It has the callaway honker intake on it. Could it be honker the intake makeing the noise? It idles perfect and runs great so I can't see it being a leak on the fast intake or a vacume leak. Also thought maybe it could be one of the belts but doesn't really sound like a belt or pulley squealing more like a air whisle. If any one has any input I would appreciate it. The sound is anoying.
