I realize that unless you have flared fenders the C6 Z06 wheels will stick out.

Outside of appearance, what are the negatives of having a wheel sticking outside of your fender?

Not 100% sure, but I think it's actually illegal to have tires sticking out past the fender in some places. I've never heard this mentioned for cars, but I have for trucks, not sure why there would be a difference? Just repeating (possibly bad) information... YMMV.

If it's not in the Traffic Act for cars then the style police should still be able to give you a ticket, IMO.

The one thing that can happen is that the tires will kick up rocks into the side of the body behind the tire.

at least in my state, i think it may illegal to have your tires stick out past your fender with the flares.
