Can't tell from those pics what it is. Is it a vacuum hose?

I think it goes to the PCV or EGR, it looks like where people mount the oil catch cans.

I replaced it with a piece of fuel line the guy at advanced auto parts gave me. Haven't driven enough but it definitely feels a lot smoother and its not hesitating off the line now.
