Heads up - I removed EBCM from my 2001 CP today with this tutorial - The Torx size is #15 - not #20 ( I triple checked this with separate tools)

I too occassionaly have the Active Handling and ABS ights come on and stay. I may start my C5 ten or more times with no lights and then they come on and stay on but the next time I start it all seems normal.

I sure would like a copy of the tutorial too. sames3@msn.com

Add another successful repair to the list. Last night It cost me a total of $3.44 for the soldering iron from Harbor Freight, a little bit of skin from my right thumb and a bit of frustration from dropping the mounting screws when replacing the unit. A shorter-than-usual #20 Torx driver would have helped very much in removing and re-installing the unit.
BTW...the 6 mounting screws are Torx #20 and the 4 screws holding the cover onto the heavy case are Torx #15.
Many thanks to you guys who have done the legwork to figure out how to do this and save the rest of us lots of bucks.

OK for I really know this is repeatish but would it be possible to send a copy of that document to me? My 03 started giving me the ABS error and the dealer quoted me $3300 to repair it. My email address is below. Thank you so much!

Thanks. I did find it on post 66 Sticky but thank you anyway. I came back to tell you not to bother. The codes just came up on my car today "about an hour ago". I have had 5 C5's and this is a first for this error?

I started mine up the other day and received ABS and Traction Control warnings. Based on some of the other threads on the forum I was instructed to pull the codes to determine which wheels were affected and check the harness at the hub. My code showed a front left problem. I pulled the wheel and checked the connector going into the hub, no problem. I followed the wire harness from the hub to the next connector at the chassis and found my problem. One of the wires was broken. I fixed the issue and no more codes.
