Oh Bill... I would appreciate the info as well, if you wouldn't mind.
The car is 4 weeks new to me, I think I have it covered, but I would like to make certain.
Thank You!

So are all you guys getting a 1214 code and been driving around or getting the info if you need it in the future? Seems like a lot of people asking for it.

Default EBCMs in C5s

Hooaah
The problem usually stems from the relay in O.E.M. EBCMs in many C5 series that have proven to be "unreliable" (or as some members say: 'a P.O.S.')...sooner or later, it fails..then C1214! a new EBCM runs about $650 (or more, given your model year)....to replace this relay, it can cost aprox. $150 or less, + UPS to get it to absfixer, or another repair source.
...most Stealerships want $1400. to take care of the problem (and your wallet)....
....given the number of C5s sold ...there can be quite a lot of those bad ones out there. The one in my 2002 failed at 24,000 miles...
