EBCM Repair Question
I pulled my EBCM this morning and have it boxed up to send off for repair. My question, Is there a need to pull the fuses for the ABS, TCS or whatever for any reason before I drive my car. I plan on driving it this week to work.
Thanks for any help.

Tip
At this point, you can safely continue to drive your car, just remember that those electronic driving aids are no longer functioning so you should adjust your driving habits accordingly.
It would be helpful to cover/enclose the area where the EBCM was disconnected...in case you would be driving in rain...

Thanks for the posts guys. I have been driving with the TCS, Service Active Handling etc message for over months. I have covered the electrical connections with baggies held by ty-wraps. This worked well for me. I need to try and cover the pump part a little better. Just to keep it from getting dirty in there.
BTW, with the EBCM removed, the DIC now says Service Car Soon.

www.absfixer.com has been pretty much the gold standard. Brandon was so successful a lot of copycat guys jumped in the market too.

Just got my EBCM back and I no longer have the codes that go with the EBCM issues. So far at this point I am happy again. No codes!!! Woo Hoo!!

I need to do this as well. I have code 1214....is absfixer the only one? I read the instructions on soldering the points inside the ebcm, is this all absfixer does? If so, I may give it a shot myself this winter, have others fixed their own? Thanks

I did it myself via the wire up on here. It is pretty straight forward as long as you have a good soldering iron. The resistor you need to replace is seriously less than $2 and there is a link in the write up where to buy it.

Your fine. Just make sure the wires pulled from EBCM unit don't mess with the pullies, belts and radiator fan.
Other than that, try to avoid water, since the unit is "opened"
I didn't care about not having TC, ABS, AH becuase I didn't have them in the first place when I got the car 7 months ago, and I took the EBCM off to finally fix it.

EBCM removal question
I bought an M-code (non active handling) ebcm from a salvage yard today and once I started digging in, it looks like I have to remove the entire ABS assembly to get the ebcm out of the car. Is that right? If I do have to remove the abs, how do you effectively bleed the abs system? I've bled brakes before, but never had to go into the abs system in the past.
Thanks for the help in advance. Btw, I have a 98 vert that's not repairable according to absfixer.

Thanks for the response. Great news though, the ebcm I bought worked like a charm. No ABS/traction control lights after a year of frustration. One point to note for anyone that might read this post: I had an M code with part part number 16257049 and the one I installed is a part number 09356961
