E/T Streets - Tube or Tubeless
I need some help:
Just got my "98 5 star Z28 rims" at the house
Just got my new E/T Streets from the VetteFest in Chicago last weekend
Gonna shave the arm this weekend so it all fits (no rubbing)
Here's the question:
Do most of you guys run Tubes in your E/T Streets or No?
What is the difference If any?
Will I gain or lose anything from not putting tubes in?
Any help would be great (especially the ones that have done both)
Thanks in Advance
Mike

Re: E/T Streets - Tube or Tubeless (BLUBYU2002C5)
John @ CCW shipped mine, no tubes.
He said that he does not run tubes in his set up.
Per John, if you have tubes, you need to run more air pressure in order to fill out the tire. He recommends running tubeless, and @ 15 psi.
It works for me, 1.6's is my best at 60' so far. 1st time out. :D :D

I also run tubeless.
If you run with tubes and low pressure you will have serious problems when the tire moves on the wheel.

You can run tubless. The tires may leak a little air,(not seen yet, but that is why tubes are recommended by manufacturer) so chech tire pressures regularly. :chevy

Re: E/T Streets - Tube or Tubeless (R BONUS)
Likewise. As per John's recommendations, I run tubeless. I am still experimenting with tire pressures. The ET Streets are awesome but I run at four different tracks and as rapidly as I am changing mods and trying to adjust to different track conditions...well it is a challenge.
I ain't compaining though - these ET Streets bought me four tenths! :D :D

I have also heard from several hardcore dragracers that running with tubes can also more likely make the car feel more loose/squirrelly on the top end (if you are running with the stock radials on front). What rims and tires are you going to run on your front of your car Are you going to be running stock radials our are you going to be running a bias ply material (that being the same as the et streets). If going with stock fronts you definitely want to go tubeless. Wade at ARE ran mid 9s with et streets and stock radials in front and he went tubeless.
