Trailer hitch for my Jet SKI!!!!
OK I need to do it. I've got a dirt bike and a Jet SKI Both need pulling. Now I've seen on the streets vets pulling trailers with slicks, so I know there is a hitch out there. Any recommendations?

U-haul stocks these as well. I have one on my 2000 hardtop. I have a 2000 Seadoo XP that I pull with it. No problems here and very easy to install. I will put it back on when it gets warmer out. The whole assembly only adds about 20-25lbs or so.

Do you know what brand it is? Got any pictures?
Also do you have a modified exhaust? If so did the hitch get in the way>
I've also got an XP... Pipe carbs and everything. Thinking about trying the NOS thing on it just to see.. Easy enought to rebuild if I mealt it down.

I have the same questions about the hitch. I do know that U-Haul or Draw Tight sells them for our application. Would love to pull my CBR900RR around with me as well. Does anyone know the max towing capacity for the C5? Sounds like a bolt on application because someone made reference to putting it back on when it gets warmer, is this so? Any and all info. would be appreciated, especially pictures of how it mounts underneath!

I use to tow my VFR 800 (bike) with my Firehawk just fine. Seemed just a little heaver than the ski, but not by much. I've done a little looking around and found two.
Da'Lan 2500 lbs
Draw-Tite 2000 lbs http://www.c5tech.com/mods_hitch.htm
Does anyone have any experience with these two??? Any pictures of the install?

Contact Jake at Corvette Concepts. He has a real neat set up. He pulls his trailer around, when it's not hooked up, their is a blanking plate that goes over it.

I have considered adding the receiver hitch for my bicycle rack.

I made my own. I have a flip up license plate and the hitch is completely hidden. I tow a GP 1200 and trailer painted to match the car and an XL 1200 Limited. No problem. You should see the looks I get!

wow... i am amazed that you guys would put a ski in the water with a vette, more power to ya. are you playing in fresh water ? can't imagine backing my pretty vette into the sand and salt water surf and seaweed that i used to get my truck into. watched too many guys slide into the water on the slimey boat ramps to ever think about doing that with a vette. like i said wow

Ecklers catalog has a good selection of brand name hitches for C5's and C4's. Towing is no big deal, you are talking about a car with awesome brakes, big tires, power, and durability built right in!! Hell, the best tow car I had was a Grand National turbo, that baby would light the tires shifting to second towing my 3500 lb boat/trailer setup. My 92 vert tows a small trailer very nicely at 75 mph cross country 2000 miles, then races 165mph for 90 miles, then tows the trailer back home 2000 miles.

the hitch.com or something like that. I pull a trailer with slicks like above works great.

We have the drawtite installed on the vettes in our racing team. We all run different aftermarket exhausts so the braces on the hitch had to be bent to avoid the custom exhaust, but otherwise they work great!
