Traction Control Issue on my C5Z
So I just changed out the clutch on my '01 C5Z because the old one seemed to be slipping in 5th & 6th gears when accelerating or going up hill. It was turning on the traction control and it would stay on until I turned it off.
The original clutch looked fine, but the pressure plate was worn pretty badly. The problem with the traction control coming on did not go away the new clutch assembly!!
I have checked and there are no codes in the DCM or when I plug in a scanner...any ideas?

Both the TC and ABS systems use data from the wheel speed sensors-
The TC uses the data to keep the wheels from spinning
The ABS uses the data to keep the wheels from skidding on a hard stop
I would check the wheel speed sensors at each wheel--the pigtails often get dirty and lose contact---also check the star wheel on the rotors to make sure there is no debris stuck in them (rocks)
Try clearing the codes and see if they come back--

use this D.I.C.method to give us the Codes that show up...
...then we can better diagnose your issue.....
with the key in the on position, but the engine not running
push and release the reset button until all messages cleared
next push and HOLD button #4
next push and release button #1 four times while holding button #4
When first engaged the on-board diagnostics go into an "automatic" mode which shows all parameters: PCM-TCS-RTD-BCM-IPC-radio-HVAC-LDCM-RDCM-SCM-RFA. If there are no problems, you will see "no more codes" on the ICP display. The computer will show two kinds of codes, "current" and "history," designated "C" or "H". A current code indicates a malfunction is present in the system whose module is displaying data. A history code indicates a past problem. When the screen displays "manual diagnostics," select the desired module by pressing the "options" button to go forward or the "trip" button to go back. Press "gages" to go forward or "fuel" to go back. To exit the diagnostic mode at any time, press "E/M".
If you want to erase or "clear" codes, press .""reset
