Default Tire Sensor issue!

i put aftermarket wheels (ASANTI) ,i removed all the tire sensor since more than 6 months. after air leak issue on the tire sensor bracket, (cause some of the aftermarket wheels doesn`t accept the tire sensor without use bracket).

now i got low air pressure light and message on the DIC for the rear tire only.

i disconnect the battery, the light and message gone, put back after few hours

-why thes happened now since i already removed the tire sensor since long time?
- is there any tools can clear or reporgram the tire sensor?
- is ther any one know good air bracket? (in case i must use tire sensor again)

You dont say what year your car is.I think the earlier models cant be programmed out but the later model cars can using a techII scanner.

1997 – 2000 TPMS cannot be programmed out. If for whatever reason, one or more sensors fail to report, you will get a DIC message.

2001 – 2004 CAN be programmed out (tech-2 can do this)

If the sensors won’t seal properly to the rim, you can “strap” the sensor to the inside circumference of the rim. Any tire installer worth their salt can do this.

If your tire shop is incapable of performing this service find another tire shop.

Is there anyone in Southern California who has a Tech 2 scanner who would be willing to help program my DIC? I have almost the same problem (posted several weeks ago) and my friend doesn't have one and the dealer gave me the old, "It can't be done" line. Thanks.

Do you store your old wheels with sensors near where you park you car?
