Default Front end to low

My front end sets to low which causes the headlights to point to the ground. Dealer set the lights to the spec adjustments.
What is the proper height off the ground and what might cause this?

Somebody before you (or maybe you) lowered the cars suspension.

1999- Bought it with 3 miles and haven't done anything, it's been this way a few years. Can't figure it out.

Have you tried adjusting your headlights yourself and aiming them further up?

Pic of the side profile of the car please. If you haven't altered your ride height and you have owned it since it had 3 miles on it chances are your height is fine and your headlights need adjusting...

#1 - The stock headlights are fairly crappy so don't expect good light from them.

#2 - Why would you believe your car is too low in the front if you have owned it from new? The only reason it would drop is if you broke the front spring and I sure as hell hope both you and the dealer would catch something as obvious as that.

My point is the front end sets lower than other C5 in my club. I was in a parking lot side by side with about 5-6 other C5s and noticed mine sat lower, I measured and it is. Don't
know why, but I would like a stright answer if possible. I don't want to go to my dealer
if possible. Just thought someone might have run into this or know someone who has.

If you really want you can raise the front by adjusting the ride height bolts but I would imagine you could just adjust your headlights up.

Thats a possibility but it seems like he would be slammed in the front or it to be higher on one side or another. Plus Im pretty sure he said he took it to the dealer and you would think they would have caught that...

check the rake in the frame height and if it's got too much just lower the rear. Should be about 1/8" with a full tank of fuel

If you want a "straight answer', you need to provide a little more specific information, such as the height from the ground to the top of the wheel openings, front and rear. It's not the most precise point of measurement, but it's a least a point of reference. A side picture of your car would be even better.

Secondly, at what point did your headlights become "aimed too low"? Headlights generally don't just drop out of adjustment, unless the rubber bushing "stops" on the headlight assemblies have aged and crumbled...

You say you had the car since practically brand new. Then there was a point at which the front dropped. So either you are or you abused the car or the front spring has broke, thus slamming the car. If you provide enough info, then someone will help. If you are into so much privacy, then this isn't the place, take the car to a dealer..............
