Door hinge bushings and pins - anybody replaced them?
My '99's doors have dragged a little every since I've had the car (about 1.5 years now) and the other day my driver door started popping when I try to close it. Looks like its time for a rebuild kit. Anybody know of a tech article or something I can use to go by to get them fixed? Anybody done it?

I don’t think you will find a Corvette specific “kit”.
The company that makes the “Help” products sold in most parts stores make universal hinge pin kits complete with bronze bushings. Ask at the counter to see the complete selection available – I think they make 3 or 4 different sizes. I used one of these kits on my ’74 driver when it had about 200K miles on it. The ‘74’s hinges were worn when I purchased the car.
If you keep those hinges lubed OFTEN with a high quality spray lube, those hinges will last 300K+.
I have a truck and a sedan with 150K miles & 170K miles respectively that have zero play in the hinges – I lube them 3 or 4 times a year. I use a spray lube with Teflon.
ATTENTION VENDORS – Make a C3 – C4 – C5 Hinge Rebuild kit. You will sell a ton of ‘em as these cars age.

Try oiling that little roller on the bottom hinge-you need to make sure the oil gets to the bushing in the roller-then put some good ol chassis grease(the molybdenum disulfide stuff)on the outside of the roller, and on the the slider that holds the door open.
My drivers door was creaking and popping, and the oil helped, but the grease cured it.
Not pretty, but who's gonna see it.
