If that were true, this thread would be ordinary.
Even Tony claims it's not. He couldn't even do it himself.

AFR 205s have made over 500 rwhp on a 346 many times, even 4 years ago...that in itself is not breaking news.

This thread is new because it's now been done with a 22x cam. Which IS worthy of congrats. But it's not because of the cam.

The wizards are projecting our numbers to be on par by year end.

BTW the dyno was in US #'s.

So will I be up or down @ year end?

I too have a 346 with AFR 205s and a 224°/230° Comp XFI cam with YT rockers, UD, fairly light clutch, FAST 78 & other supporting bolt-ons... I am a little hesitant to post my dyno numbers because I still think they are a little high, even though they match on two different dynocom dynos. My results were 471 rwhp and 467 rwhp, tested within 2 months of each other. I couldn't be more pleased with a set of heads. Very nice daily driver manners, and a lot of fun at WOT.

edit - forgot to mention, my stock short block has 179,800 miles on it.

Great numbers for sure. You can't go wrong when you start with a set of 205's and go from there. Tony worked with me on my combo after I trashed my stock bottom end. Using what we had along with a forged 403 I ended up with an absolute beast with manners. It looks like the same results were obtained here. Congrats again.

Not to steal your thread but is a 220/220 112 be considered a small cam for a set of CNCed 243's ?

I have not bought the cam yet. I run 1.8 gold cranes

So, at the current exchange rate that means it is 463RWHP, I could live with that.

Quick Reply: AFR 205's and small cam yield 500 RWHP!!
