Default CV joint or wheel bearing?

When I turn to the left and drive in a circle, I hear a repetative click sound coming from what seems like the right rear. Is it the CV joint or the wheel bearing? No sound when turning in the opposite direction. Its the same sound I hear from front wheel drive cars with a bad CV.

It could just be the nut is loose. It takes a 35mm socket and I don't remember how much torque, but I think it's 118ftlb. Check that before anything else. Have seen that a handful of times.

118 ft.lb. is correct. 34 mm socket.

Reach under the car and grab the cv joint and see if there is any play.

By chance, do you hear the same click whenever pulling out, backing up or similar in a parking lot? If so, it might only be the splines on the half-shaft needing lubrication otherwise it sounds like a bearing is dying.

Bearings growl. CV joints click.

Worn out CV's click at high angle such as can be attained steering a front wheel drive vehicle. The angle on your CV's doesn't change much during a turn so it's not likely they are the problem.

1. loose axle bolt
2. loose T55 x3 hub/bearing bolt
3. spline needs PB Blaster(they often 'stick')
4. check the above posts also

Ok, I'll try the axle nut first. I get a click sound everytime I slow down and speed up also. Different from the one I'm hearing when turning however. How much dis assembly is needed to lube the splines?

Really very little. You only need to remove the axle nut with and slide the shaft in an out a bit while lubing it. I suggest a stray lube like a chain lube or similar, but don't over-do it. Someone else may have a better idea. I thought the nut was a 33mm but at work right now and can't go look at the socket I bought for mine a couple of years ago.

the stock one is 33 mm, the replacement nut is a hair larger so it has to be 34mm 33 doesnt work.
