Holley aluminum intake manifold GP
We are running a GP for the new Holley aluminum intake manifold from now until March 1st -
Now used in ASA, NHRA EFI classes, muscle car conversions, C5 Corvettes, F Body Camaros and Firebirds, and street rods the LS1 has quickly becoming the engine of choice by professionals and enthusiast for for making awesome horse power and torque. What professional engine builders such as John Lingenfelter have found is there is a lot more power that can be extracted from the LS1 with some modifications and this manifold will help you find that power.
Based off the LS6 manifold this aluminum manifold makes more power on the LS1 by increasing air flow and giving the engine builder the ability to port match to the cylinder heads increasing the flow through the entire engine, not just through the manifold. Lingenfelter designed this manifold with a removable bottom plate to give access to internal passages. This design feature makes porting and installing a direct port nitrous system a breeze. The aluminum manifold is a street rod builders dream with the ability to be polished to a show finish.
The Holley/Lingenfelter manifold is perfect for blown, stroker and nitrous applications or for anyone looking to increase the power output of their LS1.
This manifold will cover all years of the LS1 and LS6 motor. If you vehicle doesn't have an EGR you will just need to cap off the hole on the intake.
Regular retail for this product is $549.99. I can't post the GP price but can send it to you if you e-mail tbyrne@tbyrne.com. Info can be found in the Group Purchase section of our website.

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (tbyrne)
Any performance information on this new intake yet? Also, is it going to be a direct bolt-on replacement for my current LS1 intake? If so, I would be interested.
Also, just out of curiosities sake, would you offer this in a polished version? Thanks for any info :D

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (Als98C5)
Haven't seen any performance numbers for this yet. I'd expect them to be at least as good as the LS6 if not better.

Tom,
Does this manifold have the "removal of the bottom section" feature? This is critical in allowing access to the internals for porting and custom runner length mods.
If so, I am very interested and want to be on the GP list.
Also, when is the soonest we can get these manifolds shipped?

This thing looks awesome! Especially polished.
I have some questions..
1. How does it compare to the LS6 intake? more hp? or same just aluminum
2. Has a removable bottom plate so it can be ported and polished. Why not port it and polish it before it ships?
3. We don't have an EGR hole. Does it come with a plug?
Other than looking cool. What performance gains are there? And if ported and polished how much more?

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (chuckster)
I'll ditto the Chuckster's comments. Plug the EGR hole, port and polish it (polish the outside too), and I'm in....
What is the soonest these could be available..?

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (boweryboy)
I am sure the manifold has the plate removal on the bottom. That is one of the big selling points.
Get it and port match to your heads and then port the sucker out.
yeah how fast are they shipping out??

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (intel55)
Include me in, I am looking to buy the ZO6 INtake Manifold for $490.00 at West Coast Corvettes.
What are the numbers in this? Is it the same HP numbers as the Z06 intake which claims 15hp?
Going to send you an e-mail.

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (2KVetteMan)
You know what would be really cool is a Holley intake manifold port matched to heads combo by Lingenfelter. :yesnod:
Until then, somebody please give us a report who has installed this!

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (Horsepower)
Spoke with our Holley rep this morning and got some more info -
The manifold will come with everything but the EGR block-off (includes manifold and throttlebody gaskets, access plate and cover, hoses, coupling, fittings and instructions). As you see from the list, the product does have a removable plate to gain access inside the manifold. They haven't started shipping these yet but should be ready to go in a few weeks. All of the GP manifolds will be ordered at the close of the GP (ends 3/1). I'm going to see if we can get an EGR block-off made when our shipment comes in. This will make life a little easier for everyone.
This will be a very good mod for high horsepower cars because you can fully port and port match the intake for maximum airflow. Another thing that I will be looking into is having these polished but I can't promise anything at this time.

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (tbyrne)
Forgot to answer one other question - the intake comes with an aluminum finish (pictured above).

On a 1 to 10 scale. 1 easy and 10 experts only. Where does this swap land. I am interested in this intake for several reasons, one of them is to go with my future heads and the other being a polished intake would just look awesome. If this is not fairly simple, then I'll just wait and get my tuner of choice to do it when I get new heads.
Will the 98 LS1 TB bolt right up to this intake?

Re: Holley aluminum intake manifold GP (John's vette)
The stock and aftermarket throttlebodys will also bolt up to this manifold.
3 orders in for the GP so far.
