Shock simulator questions
Purchased the RTD simulators from Casper Electronics for my '01 and upon reviewing the instructions I have some questions. It is noted in the instructions: "You must cut the Lt. Blue Wire in Cavity 11 on the RTD Module connector in the vehicle (steering position sensor input) to prevent a potential code from being set". I've sent email and left messages for some tech support but haven't received an answer back from the manufacturer.
My questions: 1) Where is "Cavity 11" on the RTD connector? I suppose if I had a service manual it might point this out, but I don't have the manuals. 2) Is this at each wheel? 3) Is this a normal thing? I thought the sims were a plug and play thing, I don't want to cut anything unless its absolutely necessary
Thanks in advance for the input

I don't suppose someone out there has this page for the '01, I'm not seeing the lt blue wire in Cavity 7 either (at least what I think is Cavity 7)

Finally did it
Thanks for all the input and help on this everyone, I finally got around to installing the Z06 shocks, removed the Lt Blue wire from cavity 7 and installed the sims. I now have "Service Ride Control" and code C0710 Steering Position Signal Malfunction. Any thoughts or suggestions? The code will not clear, stays current; I tried disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes and no change from that either.
BTW.......what a difference! I may be in love with my car again.

update
So I actually had someone from Casper's email me back about my issues/questions, turns out the cutting the blue wire only pertained to 2003 model year and it also now appears they don't even recommend the sims for 2003 models. The answer was "guess you must've got an old set of instructions", of course I double checked on their website and it's the same instructions which were in my box. I would've been really hard to add the line "For model year 2003 you must cut the blue wire". Oh well, I'm done being sour I restored the blue wire to the connector and all is good, codes are clear. Thanks to everyone for all the input and help on this
