NEED URGENT ADVICE: Will the 2004/2005 LS6 Long Block Fit Easily in My 2001 Z06?
I am seriously thinking of purchasing this LS6 CTS-V Long Block for my 2001 Corvette Z06 as a project motor that I'm going to build while running my current engines in a few club events and SCCA events here in Florida. I realize that this engine has the CTS-V oil pan but I am wondering if the accessory holes are there for when I take the pulleys off of my Z06 and put them on the long block. I've included a link with info on the engine and if you have the answer can you point me in to evidence that this is the case by providing first hand knowledge or a link that validates your advice? I don't want to buy this motor and find out it's a hassle for it to work easily in my 01 Z06 application.

I am suppose to go look at the engine tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I verified with Greg at AntiVenom who recently did this swap that everything will work. Just a matter of changing the dipstick and oil pan. Now that's settled AntiVenom is putting together a plan to build a track/street motor. I can know take the engine in my Z06 to new levels of punishment. What a bullet proof engine though. Henry Gilbert of Sports Car Driving experience who's performance driving schools I've attended has 14 2001 to 2003 Corvettes with some of those being Z06s and with basic upkeep they never have any problems with the LS6 or LS1 for that matter under extreme driving conditions. Never had to replace a motor in several years of service. I can't wait to take the car to Daytona with PBOC in October and really push it to it's limits.
