Broken Seat plastic part
The plastic side piece that holds the electronic control *** broke on me, and I have a couple questions I hope someone knows the answer to.
Here is what broke on a 98 coupe, standard electrical seats.
First off, what is this part called, so I can order a new one?
Im not much of a wrench. How do I remove the seat back lever so I can put a new one on?
And third, It probably broke because the seat is pretty worn down. Can I switch the passenger and driver seats fairly easily? They are both electric.
Thanks!!!

I just purchased the same piece because I'm having my seats redone. Mine broke on the sides and it's caused by the foam being too worn. I paid $32 plus tax (total for both pieces) locally from Corvettes of Houston.

Mine broke the same way within a week of installing new seat leather and foam
I have a replacement piece waiting to go in - it's been about 4 years since the install, but I always thought it was about the hole in the foam not being right

Just re-glue it and once its dry/cured,,,redrill the hole in the frame so that the plastic bracket fits nicely on the seat. The drill bit that you need is small and the screw is a self tapping screw.

Well I finally got around to installing the new part today. Went fine until I tried to put the front screw in. Cant for the life of me get it in the hole! Guess the seat is so far out of shape it doesnt line up very well.
So I need a small bit, to drill into the frame which is metal? and a self tapping screw... any suggestions on size?
Thanks
