tire info needed on standard Z06 265/45/17
i am trying to find a good pair of 265/45/17 inchtires, so what i did was swapped wheels ,so now the 245/45/17 goodyear emt tire wont hold pressure like it did with the old wheel ,the y2k wheels, Now i have a these c6 chrome wheels ,these wheels have a lip on them & u can see it with the smaller width tire, side wont hold air ,.So i am gonna swap the tires out with a wider tire, like the factory z06 tire ,265,45,17,& i am trying to get some insight on the tires ,What are most of u guys running on the front of your c5 Z06,I aM Thinking of something like this Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport ,anybody run this tire?If so How do u like it ,Are you a spirited driver ?How many miles do u have on them ?Sorry for all the questions ,just trying to see if i wanna buy them or not,ok its A 265 40 17

I take it you bought C6 aftermarkets made for the C5? The key here is what size wheels did you buy? Without that we have no idea what size tire to suggest.
If you got the C6 wheels in C5 Z06 sizes, and you transferred your stock Y2K 275/40/18 rears, you are undersized on the rear aswell.
If you did get the C5 Z06 sizes, and you keep your 275/40/18 rears, then the 265/45/17's front would be a correct size to go with.
If you end up going with the 295/35/18's in the rear, then go with the 265/40/17's on the front.
Your just playing with the sidewall height between the regular C5 and the Z06. Hope this helps.
