From the "if ain't broke don't fix it" department
After reading about the problems some members were having with their gas guages I decided to add a bottle of Techron on the next fill up as a preventative measure. So I do and now the gas guage is acting weird. Stayed at full for the longest time and then dropped to 1/4 within a block. The guage was working perfectly before putting the Techron in this tank full. I think I am about empty and don't know if I should put another bottle in or not.
Anyone have any ideas? Or was this just coincidental?

I do a small bottle every now and then as a preventive measure,,still working great!! Must have been a coincidence!! Another vote for use another bottle or two,,,it has a very successful record!!

I've used both however it seems as if Seafoam may be more effective. I still have a dead spot at 1/2 tank for maybe 1/8th tank more, and then all is fine again. Makes me crazy, but I'm getting over it. I'll live with it before I'll give GM (or whoever they will be) any money to fix what they should warranty.

See, this is exactly what worries me. I don't have any problems at the moment (knock on wood), and am afraid that if I eff with it, something like this will happen. I agree - if there ain't nuttin' wrong with it........

I always reset the trip odometer at fill up, and figure my car can go about 350 miles on a full tank.
(incase gauge screws up)
Has anyone used the GM additive for this problem?
