Default Seat frame, is this fixable? Pics inside

I think my car is trying to tell me something... Looks like this bracket is un-boltable from the underside of the frame but the question is, is this actually a part I can order w/o having to buy an entire new frame?? Why do they make this of plastic???

looks like pop metal to me. Not surprised gm uses pop metal..lol

It looks like it comes off, but if not he will have to either sell you that side track or the whole thing....

it does come off, it is secured w/ an allen headed bolt.
