Default Intermittent turn signal problem

My turn signals have been acting up lately. They will work fine for most of the trip then suddenly they quit. As soon as I push the hazard switch they work fine, then continue working normally. Is this a problem in the turn signal stalk, bad ground, or what?

Hi thanks for your kind words on my Hud install .I suspect that your flasher switch is going on the fritz.I know sounds weird but this is how it manifests it self. I had purchased a bypass module for mine but since I took my dash out I replaced the switch with a stock GM one . My blinkers were acting exactly how you described ,if I activated the four way flashers for a bit ,I could get the blinkers back. I am going to list the module in the for sale section soon brand new with pictures and instructions ..

The flasher is in the hazard switch. There is a contact in the hazard switch that switches the flasher from ignition power to constant power when you push the hazard button and it might be failing. This is how you bypass it. Otherwise, pull the dash apart and replace the hazard switch.

Probably a bad hazzard switch as others have stated. You basically have to pull dash apart to get at the wiring and switch.

Just did this on my Bro's Z06 a few weeks back.

The stock switch will just fail again at some point.
