Search "rocking seat fix" there probably are well over 100 posts on the subject, that is how I found them.

EDIT.... Search feature really sucks here cause now I cant find the posts. I searched, rocking seat fix, rocking, seat fix and they all came up with 10 pages of posts to sort through. I searched in the C5 forums only.

Fix worked great for me. Some have reported less than stellar results. In my case the rubber on both sides of the blocks was totally gone so that was the problem.

I jsut fixed mine last week with the nylon washers....not rocking AT ALL, seats are like new again....My rubber stoppers were completely disintegrated, all was left was dust!!

Follow the isntructions, dont leave any loose space in the little metal box, and u will have no rocking seat!

There is another problem that can cause the seat to rock. On mine, the rubber parts were perfect. But one of the motors was a bit loose where it attaches to the frame of the seat. I managed to tighten it a bit but the problem came back.

Got the parts to fix mine, but I'm looking at the DIY fix and going DAYUM! I'm not sure if this is what's wrong with mine or not. I wouldn't say mine rocks, more like slides forwards on braking and then backwards on acceleration. It seems like it moves an inch or more in each direction. Those washers are only 1/8 inch thick, so if they were gone, wouldn't you only have 1/8 in movement?

If it is 1 inch in each direction you need a new seat bracket cause something is wrong and it is not safe to drive your car like that.

Okay, I can sit in it and pull myself forward. Never tried to measure it while driving, but it felt like an inch.....but it's more like 1/4 inch.
