Default 99 FRC Water Pump

Does anyone have expirence with installing an LS3 water pump on an LS1? I bout the pump from Fichtner, and it looks like the upper hose is not compatible, also, do the older LS1 pumps use paper gaskets? The new one came with o-ring gaskets, I did a forum search before I purchased the pump, and found a couple guys had done this, but the details were kind of vague, any help would be appreciated.

What is the advantage of switching to the LS3 water pump?

Less rotating mass, changed mine out when I did H/C, direct bolt on. I have a 99 FRC.

Your engine has the silicone/aluminum gaskets just like the replacements.

Maybe try the ls3 hose?

Napa is pretty good at letting you return parts in good condition.

Just a thought. Post up your solution when you find it.
