Default For those that own the Vortex Rammer with clear box

I'm wondering how clean the box actually stays. Does it stay clean enough to look good, or does it get dirty and take away from the looks of the filter. If you had to do it over, would you still get the clear box or would you get the black box.

Thanks

Un4given,
The box stays nice and clean on mine. I would select the clear box again because you can easily see the condition of the filter.

Exactly, just clean the box every once in a while and it will keep looking good.

No problems with mine either.
The clear box looks 'lighter' and more interesting..helping to bring the compliments. :yesnod: Painted or carbon fiber just looks like a plain ol' box.

It still comes down to your likes though. As long as you clean the filter regularly any choice is going to be an improvement. You would be surprised how little a visual inspection tells...better 'breathing' = improved performance. :D

I was worried about how dirty the black would get as well, I went with the black and have no regrets.

Black looks more stealth and stock, and doesn't stand out when you open the hood. the filter takes 30 sec to unhook and check anyway.

Mine stays nice and clean as well. I paid $225 for hte thing I don't want something that looks like the stock box, that is why I got the clear one.

I have the clear as well, I just took some windex and a paper towel to it when I finished installing it to get the finger prints off it, still looks like it, of course only has about 250 miles on it, but I did drive the car in the rain

I picked the clear one so I could very easily monitor the filter, not for any looks improvement. However, I found that large red cone filter visible through the clear box was more eye candy than solid boxes I saw on other cars.
