Default Best bang for buck shock absorbers for an 03Z51.

Which are the best bang for buck shocks.

I have an 03 MN6 Z51 with 90,000 miles and it's starting to ride like the Model T.

TIA.

I was just reading thru Gene Culley's November sales items; he has the new Z06 shocks at a pretty Good price. Check it out; his thread is just down the page a ways.

From experience.

C6 Z shocks are kinda stiff.
O4 Z shocks are nice...

Bilsteins are PERFECT, plus they last a long time.

Yeah, I think Bilsteins may last forever. My C4 had a set for 12 years, and they seemed as good as new. My wife's 18 year-old Mercedes has the original set - still just fine after 200k miles.

Is there a noticable difference going from 04 Z to Bilsteins ? what about PFADT shocks(not coilovers)?

If you are looking for a great street ride as well as better performance go with a set of the Bilstein HD package shocks. If performance is a little more your goal, the Sports make for a nice ride and much better suited to track use.

Bilstein HD on my 01 z51 and I love them. They are SLILGHTLY firmer than the stock z51 shocks with only 30k on them but have much better control and eliminate the floaty feeling at speeds after you cross a bridge/overpass. For the street you cant go wrong witn Bilstein HD imo. For track I would get Sports.
