Default an FYI on a good price on a K&N!

I just replaced my K&N and after doing alot of price checking, all the Vett related places are selling a K&N for $69 and Auto Zone has them for $52. Not a big deal but why spend more!

Why did you "replace" it? Couldn't the original be cleaned?

I also bought mine from a vendor that sold them for much better prices. Also, you can find some good used K&N filters in the classifieds if you're patient.

I did alot of cleaning it over the years, and not in the proper fashion, it seemed to have dirt on it that would not come off. I wanted to start freesh. The cleaner that K&N sells is awsome, I was usingg soap and water for a while.

Still a lot more than the stock paper filter, and you can never get one as clean as new.

True! But the K&N cleaning solution really does a nice, easy job of getting it pretty damn good. I usually do it twice.
