supercharger cams

Melting Slicks
Re: supercharger cams (Jim Shearer)
I would look for a cam that didn't have a small (tighter) lobe separation for starters. Something in the 114-116 range would work well. Also look for a cam that breaths very well on the exhaust side. Getting the air in will not be as hard then it will be to get it out. I'm sure as much lift as the heads will flow will also be an advantage.
Call Comp Cams!! :)

Re: supercharger cams (madguy)
spread out to 114-116 and split duration with an extra 10-15 degrees on the exhaust side. THe blower will fill the cylinders much faster because the mix is under pressure. Now you just need to get it out faster without to much overlap, otherwise you start losing some of that charge out the exhaust.
Any cam grinder will have "blower" cams. Very much like a nitrous cam.

Re: supercharger cams (pkmoose)
would having a higher compression ratio affect the choice of a cam? I see that you are running 9.0 - 9.5:1 cr
Whereas the camshaft for our new engine is a 232/232 .575"/.575" 114 cam.
