Default A/C doesn't recirculate

The AC works pretty good but may need a little freon because it isn't freezing me. My biggest concern right now is when I hit the recirculate button the airflow doesn't get any stronger. I believe it used to work a few weeks ago. Any ideas?

1st check the DIC for HVAC codes.
2nd you may have a vacuum leak not allowing the recirc door to operate,
or a bad vacuum actuator.
3rd you may have a bad control unit.

I had the exact same thing happen on my suburban, ended up being the
HVAC control unit

I'll check for the codes today. I'm pretty sure it's not the headunit since I just got a new one a few weeks ago. Which vacuum line controls it? Anyone have pics?

I have pictures at home (cant send them from work) All the damper doors are vacuum controlled. There also NOT monitored by the DIC. Do all the other dampers work? Defrost, lower level vents, upper level vents etc.....????

Theres only ONE damper that controls the recirc and outside air and its directly behind the air bag module in the dash.

I actually just went out and messed with it. The air says it is changing on the display but it only comes out of the face vents and defrosting vents...

Sounds like it may be the vacuum line on the back of the intake. There are many threads. Bill Curlee's are the most informative if you want to look up his threads directly. The vacuum line runs off the rear of the intake to the passenger side under the battery tray into the firewall. You might try to pull it from the inside and check for vacuum in there and chase it back toward the motor.

You were right. It was the vacuum line behind the intake manifold that had come disconnected. Now it's blowing like a windstorm! Thanks a lot!!
