GMPP Red plug wire question
I bought a set of the 12495519 GMPP red plug wires, and mine have no markings on them at all, except for DEED in raised letters on the end on the plug boot itself. I just want to know if thats what others have gotten, in a plain white box, with a General Motors label. I don't want to be ripped off with counterfeit parts. Thanks
Oh yeah, are they supposed to have metal protectors, or do you reuse original ones?

I bought them from a reputable online dealer, but I wouldn't name anyone without knowing that had a real problem and that they wouldn't fix it first. Sometimes its not their fault.

Yeah, the metal protectors on the spark plug boots are just for show. GM engineers designed them to add extra weight and cost to the vehicle. Of course they are not needed, just toss em in the trash.

It's all good I've had a couple of sets, both from the Chevy dealer. First set only had DEED on the boot. Newest set had DEED on the boot and Chevy symbol and Chevorlet in white on the wire.

i never could see the reason for these. for $40 you can get exact fit denso wires that spec out within an ohm or two of each other and the oem heat shields fit perfectly

The GM Performance Red Wires are some of the best quality wires for the cost out there. They fit excellent and last a very long time with normal wear and tear and care. They fit the metal heat shields and attach tight to the plug and coil tower/
