Default Air from heater not as warm as usual

Usually when my put the climate control at 72-75 degrees, the air that is being blown at me is warm enough to warm me up on a cold day. I noticed while driving yesterday that the air felt cold at this temperature, almost as if the A/C was on. I turned the A/C on then back off just to see if that changed anything and I didn't feel any difference. I had to put the temp up to 85 to feel what I used to feel at 72. Car is a 2001 Z06.

Anyone know what's going on?

Do you leave the system set on auto?

Need to check the DIC for HVAC codes.

Driver Information Center is the little panel above the steering column that shows the miles on the car if you have it set to that.

To get the codes, go here: www.Stengel.net/decodes.htm

Plasticfan,
I don't think the link you provided works, but just incase
https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=26&TopicID=1

SUPRCAR,
Easiest thing HVAC is Check for codes and post back if any,
Check to make sure you are reaching what you know is to be normal operating temp.
Check to make sure all the modes you select are working properly.

Any idea what the passenger side feels like? Do they both feel the same?

Are you sure you are operating at normal temperature? Your thermostat could be stuck open, meaning the engine won't heat up to normal operating temoerature no matter how long it runs. Plus, this might not even trigger a code.

DTCs will tell us a LOT! If there are a ton of DTCs,, list them but also CLEAR ALL OF THEM and see if:

1. That takes care of the issue
2. Any of the same DTCs come back. Make sure that you list the H (history ) or C (current) suffix.

Update on this. I drove the vette today for the first time since this incident and the heat seems to be back to normal. There is a bulletin that explains that some may complain about this but most of the time just turning the car off and back on will fix it. Thanks for the replies everyone.
