Default Front tire size.

I was just wondering, sense there is not a lot of 265-40-17 tries new. Can I run 275-40-17 on my 02 ZO6 without any problems. Thank you

Shows a difference in diameter of less than 2%, which should be ok. They will certainly fit on the car but the closer you can stay to the original expected wheel speed at each wheel the less likely you are to have the active handling doing things when it should not be doing things.

As long as your front tires are not a lot larger in diameter than the rears your car will not care.

Currently I have Michelin PS2 275/40-17 fronts and 315/30-18 rears so the fronts are actually actually .1" larger.

ABS, T/C etc. works fine

I am running 295-35-18 on the back. Maybe I should go with a 255-40-17 up front.

I personally prefer the 255 vs 275 on my Z06. With the 275, the tip in felt too mushy going into turns.

I just had 275/40 17 and 295/35 18 Continental Sport 02 installed on my Z06, with no problems whatsoever. I'm very happy with them.

The tire store did initially want to argue that 275 was too wide for the front wheels, but when I told him that it was a Z06 he was happy.

Thank you for the input on the 275-40-17. I will look at the Continental sport 02.
