MAF cleaning
Guys,
Do you advise cleaning your MAF sensors? If so, what's the best product/method? I have heard q-tips to spray cleaners. My thoughts are that both would leave residue and should just replace it?? I found a local shop that carries CRC MAF cleaner and may try that.
Thanks

Melting Slicks
Brake cleaner and NO Q tips clean the TB too
Took my MAF out and sprayed liberally with brake cleaner then let it dry in the hot summer sun. Just want to remove the crud on the wires and surrounding area. I also cleaned my Throttle Body with some TB/Carb cleaner. If the MAF is dirty so is the TB. BIGHANK

Brake cleaner is too harsh, that is why they make MAF cleaner.

I used Radio Shack electronics cleaner in the brush spray can. Took the MAF apart and cleaned it really good. Tried with some cotton swabs but noticed that they left some threads of cotton sticking. Cleaned it really good though, it was dirty.
