Here we go again : ARE TT?
Nick, any news on this? Has anyone seen this kit yet? It's been awhile since I've heard any progress with it.
Thanks,

Im a software consultant, and on most projects I have been on I always use
the homemade (very complicated) formulae to extrapolate time-to-delivery:
Whatever they say, multiply by 3.
6 month project? It may be done in 18.
I have an 80% success rate. I dont know if this translates to the Auto world though.

Ahh, that was my mistake. I searched for the word turbo, not for TT. Well, looks like it might be awhile.

Re: Here we go again : ARE TT? (Ha-Ha)
Well, IMHO, the answer I think would be no. Software is totally different than Hardware (which is what we are talking about here) simply because there are more dynamic variables involved with software or system development (End user requirements, the importance of choking out of end-users what it is they want, which never is sucesssful in the begining, modifying code as you go along, that inevitable need to modify the system design phase in the middle of the project which almost takes you back to drwaing board plus the basic bugs of all development. In addition, with software, you try very hard (At elast I do) to blow up the program or crash the system. But again, this is just my opinion.

Re: Here we go again : ARE TT? (Ha-Ha)
My car is going to ARE for their TT install next week.
Ha Ha,
It's actually both hardware and software.
TT = hardware
PCM programming = software.
There, you're both right. Now, where's the ARE TT car? :(
BTW, just kiddin on the first sentence ;)

I am the phantom, I will own up to it. This time next week I will have made the trip to ARE, which will take me all of 1 hour. I hope I will provide many of you with the information that you are seeking. I already have a stage 2 head and cam package from Agostino that is simular to Matt G, and I can not wait to get the TT package. I have complete faith in Agostino-Racing Engines.

Re: Here we go again : ARE TT? (ws6mikey)
The last round of changes are done to the kit (for now) and the "test" car will be at the shop mid next week for the install and tunning. There will be some info on the progress by the end of this month.
I do appologise for not being readily available as of late, some new equipment and changes at the shop have kept me pretty busy. One other thing, I must appologise again for the lack of response on some e-mails in the last 3 months as I found out today that we have some interesting problems with e-mail routing from our web site that was never getting to us and still don't know how many have been lost!
Selvin and EUG, I just had 2 e-mails dated 2 months back retrieved today that were "lost" and made it to my in box!!
See you next week Frank!

Re: Here we go again : ARE TT? (Nick Agostino)
Ohhhh I would love to get my hands on this kit.
Nick:
What pistons are you using for this? I am currently in the "whatever" phase of a 422 buildup, using some choice ARE parts :D . Anyways I was thinking about milling the heads .030 and bring the comp. up, however, if that TT is ready before next racing season, ther will be a change in plans. So what forged piston and compression ratio would you go with. This engine is primarily RACE and will have that Fisher/Prince reverse flow eletric water pump on it. So what could be my range from mild to the "edge?"
thnaks
