Depends on the speed limit, my mood, what gear I'm in and lots of other variables. There are two stock rear ends in an A4. 3:15 and 2:73
If you're asking which rear end you have based on speed, put it in 3rd and drive at a steady 75 mph. Divide your rpm's by 1000 and that's your rear end ratio. (3150 rpm's=3:15's). If your asking top speed, I wouldn't know.

Depends on what type of modifications are done to the engine... Stock rear end could be a 3:15 or 2.73.. Horsepower will determine how fast the car is on a stock rear end

Ok, let me rephrase the question. What I mean is, how fast are you running down the 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile track with a stock rear that has somehow managed to stay together. I dont give a crap what kind of mods you have, I just want to know who has a rear that is staying together under serious horsepower applications. Serious meaning 400+ at least.

Still has two stock rear ends, 2:73 and stock 3:15. I don't track mine, so I'm dropping out of the conversation.

I bet it would live for a little while with slicks and about 400-430rwhp, but after that you'd be pushing it. Luckily, you have the A4, so its less of a strain to the rear than it is in the M6. I bet it would take less than that to break a stock rear with an M6. This is assuming you are taking it to the track each weekend.
I would say if you change the fluid more often than normal and have the above you should be ok. Now, axle seals might not last a long time but they aren't expensive to replace, (if you do the work yourself).
And for the record, I knew exactly what you were talking about in the initial post

390 RWHP 3.15 's A4 drag radials 12.49 best ET 113 MPH--- no spinning with the DR's--I've seen '07 C6's snap a shaft with wheel hop and a 6 speed--an A4 is not as violent at the start so I isn't as likely to break
