Default are these Z06 rims???

i just bought a 2002 convert. at a estate sale. The car had the rims swapped by the owners boyfriend before it was sold. The rims look like the stock corvette rims with the double spokes and have caps theat have the flags colored red. They are not polished. The tires on it are 265/40ZR17 and 295/35ZR18. is there any way to tell if these are standard or Z06 rims while the tires are still on them??? any numbers on them??? i don't drive the car hard so stock rims and tires would be fine for me. i thought if they were Z06 rims i could sell them to someone that really wanted them and just get a set of stock rims.

Sounds like ZO6 wheels however to tell if they are OEM you have to look on the inside of the spokes. If you want to sell them you will have no issues getting good money for them here, in fact you could trade them for a set of stock wheels and get some good cash on top of that.

If they look like this then they're factory Z06 wheels.

Pics would help if you have any!

But in any case they should have a GM stamp on the backside somewhere!

My factory wheels did, I hope they are what you want and if not someone will want them from you!

A lot of guys, including myself are running factory reproductions with no issues so they could be just fine unless you are wanting to keep the full integrity of the Vette!

Thumbs up if that's the case! Can't blame someone for that

Thanks,Matt

Thanks,Matt

they are GM rims i pulled them off and they have GM stampings on the inside of the spokes also the sizes stamped on the back say 18x10.5Jx58 and 17x9.5Jx54 i guess the guy thought he was smarter than he was. Taking the stock rims and putting his Z06 rims on the 02 before the estate took it to the auction. i would like to replace them with polished stock rims and stock size tires. anyone want to make a deal. Are the wheels stamped Alcoa, or Speedline? If they are Alcoa, they are from an '01, and are slightly (very slightly) thinner and more angular than the '02 and up, which are stamped Speedline. I also believe the '01's are slightly darker. You'll probably face that question from most interested buyers...
