Just curious, what does this casting number on an LS1 cylinder head mean. Good or Bad.

nothing other than that it is an LS1 head.

Yea there is other LS1 castings. One has perimeter bolts and one has center bolts for the valve covers. 24X? cant remember off hand, but I have both sets at home.

873 and 241 are LS1 heads, 243's are LS6.
Early Ls1's were perimeter bolt 873's. Later years had the higher flowing 241's with center bolts.

Thats what i meant....241s. I couldnt remember.
I dont think the flow differences are enough to get excited about.
