All I really know is the steering wheel has to come off. I believe the airbag wiring is yellow. Also be careful around the shock sensors.

1. Put key in ignition
2. Start car
3. Drive to nearest reputable garage
4. Pay $50-$75
5. Stand at a safe distance and watch mechanic do it.

or

Spend $125 or so to buy the Helms Manuals which gives step by step instructions on this and many, many other procedures.

Open the right passenger door, unbuckle her seatbelt, run around to the passengers side and pull her out of the car. Close door and get back in behind the wheel and enjoy the silence,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Go to a shop to have um removed, then you have no deployed air bags you can put in later or sell to someone that has wrecked thier vette

I bought someone elses for my avenger and saved 2500. They were able to test them to make sure they were good too btw

Pull the fuse on the passenger side floor, then disconnect and pull the air bags. I can't remember off the top of my head what number fuse, I'll check when I get home.

The steering wheel does not need to be removed, there are 2 screws on the back side of the steering wheel that hold the air bag. The dash panel has to come off if you want to physically remove the passenger side air bag from the car.

To be on the safe side disconnect the battery. When handling the airbag allways have it facing you and when you lay it down place it face up. There not likely to go off but if it did you don't want the backing plate hitting you first. And what was said before there worth a lot of money!
