just got my new Vette Essentials steeringwheel they suggest having a dealer install it , has anyone done their own????

You could do your own with the right steering wheel puller, but the air bag is a problem. One wrong move and you can deploy it, if it goes off once the wheel is off it can kill you.

I replaced my the wheel in my H/T.

If you're halfway mechanically inclined, it's not a big deal.

I have a VE wheel and had the dealer install it...I pulled the SW off my 86 a 100 times but there was no airbag...for the sake of a few bucks, I would have them do it...JMHO
