Tired of the Calif 91 octane ping? :mad Below is a list of 76 Union gas stations that sell 100 octane street legal gas. I also included a mix chart so you can blend street gas with 100 octane to boost ones octane to anywhere in between. :yesnod:

I included a Product Application Sheet that 76 puts out that describes their 100 octane blend.

Are there other stations such as Chevron, Mobil, Texaco, or other name brand gas in Calif that sells something beyond 91 octane? I like to get a list of all the places where I can get high-octane gasoline.

That 100 Octane is about $4.50 a gallon, I could use some at the track.

Why don't you just use the Turbo 108 Racing Fuel Concentrate we just started stocking. It is rated at 108 and you use 32 oz. every time you fill up to give you 95 octane. Use 48 oz. per tank full and it will bump up your rating to 98 octane. It is more cost effective over 100 octane gas and will bump up your octane rating higher when mixed.

All you do is pour in the 108 concentrate in your tank and then fill up.

You will feel the difference. No more pinging or detonation.

We have tested it and you can feel how much better your WOT is as well as how smooth your car will run.

It will be in the mall section of the forum today or tomorrow. $6.95 per 16 oz. bottle.

That list is very out of date. I got the same list last year and all of the locations near the bay area except one either no longer carry the Unocal 100 or they won't sell it to you out of the pump. The only station anywhere near the bay area where you can drive a car to and pump 100 ocane from the pump into your car is the Palanco station on Almaden in San Jose.

Shawn, PepBoys and most of the auto part stores sell 'gas additives' that increase octane but the general recommendation is to NOT us gas additives because of the potential problems they can cause. The other issue is how the higher octane is obtained in the additive. Take a look at the Product Sheet that 76 Union puts out on their 100 Octane and tell me what you think. I know old drag racers would much rather use pump 100 octane than adding additives.

OTOH I would be interested in how your product compares.

I forgot to mention that the product we are offering is NOT a fuel additive. It is a concentrate of 108 octane racing fuel. No additives!!

Additives are harmful. Read this month's Corvette Fever and they will tell you NOT to run any gas additives, but to run a concentrate of 104-108 racing fuel.

This is what we offer. Racing fuel in a bottle. NO ADDITIVES!!

I am not doubting that you recently got the list from them. I'm just pointing out that they have not updated the list in at least a year since your PDF version is exactly the same as the one I still have from a year ago.

It says for off-road use. Is this safe to use with Catalytic Converters?

Yes,

It is safe to use with cats and 02 sensors. No problem at all. The only thing they state is not to use it excessively. Meaning don't use 7 bottles per tank full.

Use the recommended amount and feel the SOTP difference.

Shawn,Last time I looked at turbo 108(5-6 years ago) it was mostly Methanol and Butyl ALCOHOL. Put to much in and it will damage the fuel system over time. If it's still the same stuff it's not worth it. If you need the octane better to mix the unleaded race gas. IMHO Ric
