I'm Very interested in a certain set of rims, and the widest rear they have is 9.5 inches. So, if I could fit a 295/40/19 on it, I think I'll go ahead and get them.
Here's a link that has the rims all the Rim Specs:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=110072881149

'67 Camaro, '96 Z28, or '98 Vette.......it doesn't matter to me,.....I much prefer a taller sidewall in the back on any of my cars. My favorite look is a car that's Tubbed, so that should tell you something about the kind of tire diameter I like. I realize low profile tires are much more suited for handling, but I won't be doing any auto-crossing in this one.
I guess I should probably be thinking about the sidewall stiffness, since the tires they have these days work best when they're straight up and down. If I through a 295 on a 9.5" rim, there's no doubt the sidewall will have an inward angle to it. Maybe if I were to go with a drag radial it would be a little softer on the side and work a little better.
