Default MPH light on right gauge flickers.

The blue/green "MPH" light on my dash was flickering between dim and bright on the way to work this morning. Headlights were not on so just that light was illuminated. Has anyone seen or noticed this before?

I Have This Problem Also But Was Told It Is Normal.there Is A Sensor For It Located Above The Dic Buttons.if You Put Your Finger Over It It Will Go Dim.hopefully It Is Normal Or We Both Have Problems.

I got it too, figured it was related to all my dash lights being dim.

It was early in the morning, overcast must have been the light sensor.

Mine does that too. I could never figure out why. So, this is normal and there is nothing wrong?

Guys, it is normal. When the sensor in the dash detects bright outside light it makes the MPH brighter so it can be seen easily. When you drive into a shaded area and the sensor detects darker outside light it dims the MPH so it does not blind you.
This is the same principle as lights in s long tunnel. They are set brighter in the daytime so the tunnel does not seem too dark. At night the lights are not as bright as your eye is used to the dark and the road department does not want you blinded by the bright light at night.

Mine does it too, but I highly doubt it's normal on my car. It flickers too quick to be some switch between daylight and night due to a sensor and besides the ambient light condition isn't changing as it flickers.
