Edelbrock vs AFR heads
Has anyone done any tests between these two?
I am looking for a new set of heads, I just read that a set of Edelbrock LS1 heads installed on a stock F body yielded 54 HP and 41 TQ (July issue of GM Hi-Proformance mag)
Is this "real", 50+ HP from just a head change?

Well, not to debunk Edelbrock but the way the comparison was run I think similar results would be obtained with the AFR's as well. AFR's now have some history to them, Edelbrocks are relatively new. I don't think you can go wrong either way as they both produce quality products. Nice having these great selections in parts, isn't it?

I'll probably be going with the Edelbrock in a larger runner size once results come in for the L92 stoker we're doing this winter. Early results are very positive.

The Edelbrocks may turn out to be great heads, but I just haven't seen much evidence yet.
There are a number of stock cube cars in the 9's with AFR heads. That's enough proof for me.

Based on your description I thought you were describing the AFR 205's.
