Default Z06 MAF on regular Vette?

I know the plugs are different, but can the Z06 MAF be converted to work on the regular Corvettes?

I have access to a free Z06 maf if it is relatively easy to convert over.

the plugs are different becasue the z06 MAF has the temp sensor built in, where as your temp sensor in in the air bridge. As far as how to wire it in i have never taken a close look. At a minimum you would need the z06 pigtail to plug in. Lot more hassle then it is worth imo.

Unless you added H/C, boosted, or FI, its a waste of time.

Not only that, for the car to run the best it can, you would have to have it recalibrated. I have a 99 FRC with a Z06 MAF. I put it on because I'm running a 90mm MAF and FAST intake and I didn't want to restrict the airflow to the throttle body. I had to recalibrate the MAF to the new VE tables I made. It's not hard to do if you have the tools, but just to put one on to say, "I've got a Z06 MAF" is going to make you worse off than using a stock MAF. Using a larger MAF to get increased airflow won't work because the MAF is a meter and it tells the computer how much air is entering by measuring the velocity. The velocity is turned into a voltage and that voltage is turned into a frequency and that is referenced to a table that has been filled with values that translate those frequencies into mass values.

I was going to change it when I do my additional work.

Either going with a FI setup from Andy at A&A or with the G5X3, setup. So the car will be getting a tune wither way.

Would it be worth it then?

If so, what all would be needed to make it work?
