If they're available thru PBR, just make sure they have the ears with the proper spacing and they're not a universal caliper set. Nice Find.

No, they will not clear. You would need at least 18" wheels for them to clear.

18" just makes it.. 19" would be no problems..

Awesome looking mod. Any idea on the improved stopping distance? How do they feel vs. the OEM units? Any grab at low speed stops?

Would go great with the C6 Shocks Wicked Weasel just installed. WHo knows, you guys may be developing the next generation Corvette known as a C5.5

By the way, I think I recognize the area you life in as well as the MY 2000. And no, this is not the start of a stalking post! Is your friend Lexroc? Say hello for me

i have them on my car for about a week now and about 150 miles of use. they do stop a lot better than my stock set up w/ brembo rotors. i find myself letting off the brakes coming to a light or stop sign, because i guess i was use to my old set up.

pics dont do this set up justice. you'd have to see them in person to get the idea of the size of these brakes. everyone's who's seen them cant believe how big the front caliper/rotor is

i dont think i know lexroc, although i've seen his posts here and there. ever go up to obi/captree sunday mornings? shoot me a PM if you ever want to meet up

Price is not a big mystery. Beans told me rotors, calipers and pads will be about 2K. Too much for me unless my brakes were shot. Besides, it does nothing to make your car go faster. These parts are heavy! If you have nothing better to spend 2K on, go for it!

I emailed PBR, the supplier to GM for these, to ask if they would be available directly from them. They said that "At this time PBR has no plan to release this caliper into the aftermarket."

I guess we just have to wait for GM.
