Sensor says I have a flat...I don't
I've been having trouble with one tire sensor, which is less than a years old, that won't give me a reading and finally tells me to "service tire monitor system". I do a quick retrain and the problem goes away for 20 0r 30 miles. Now on the way home, that monitor says I have a flat (which I don't) and has reduced my power and has made the car undriveable. Could this be a simple case of needing a new sensor because of a dead battery??

Can't tell what model year you have as you didn't indicate that in your profile, but the early-year C5s are reaching the end of their sensor life expectency. Your description fits the dying bill. You mentioned that the sensor is one-year new, but did you buy it used???? If you did, you probably bought someone elses dying sensor.
