Tricks to get Passenger side Catback off?
I've tried every which way and the god damn passenger side will not come off. The driver side slips off with no problems. Any idea's?

An easy way to do it is just cut the stock exhaust at the over the axle pipe and then just slip the pipe out toward the front of the car. I did this and had both sides off in 10 minutes.

Did that. The Passenger side seems to be caught right on the tranny pan.

Unbolt the heat shield right under the passenger side fuel tank, only 2-3 bolts holding it there. Very easy and lift the car above 3 feet. Don't cut anything.

I have an auto, removed the heat shield and dropped the sway bar and it came out easily (with some wiggling). You also have to have the car high - mine was on a rack at a muffler shop.

When I did mine, 03 a4, I also had problems even after dropping the sway bar. I had to take the heat shield off, very easy. The exhaust was still a pain, you have to get it wiggled in the right spot and it will come out. Took me 20 minute of moving around. Taking the heat shield off gives you that little bit of clearance you need.

I have an auto and it took the muffler shop all of 20 minutes for the complete swap and the tech had never done one before. I had to give him instructions. Best $40 I ever spent....

I swapped cat-backs on my '97 (A4) in my garage. I, too, got the driver's side off without issue but had to wrestle with the passenger side for a few minutes. The key is to get the car waaay up high and wrestle, and turn it until it comes out. I dropped the sway bar but Ididn't remove a heat shield. Good luck - it will come off without cutting.

It is much easier to cut them if you plan on not saving the stock ones. I pulled mine out and about 1 year later I threw them away because they were taking space in the garage and who the heck wants them. I only know one person that traded in his car for a newer C5 and needed to put back the stock exhaust.
