Default '99 Help! alarm system

Hi I bought my '99 C5 in the summer and I'm having trouble. The last few days the doors keep locking and unlocking on there own. I went to the options and shut off all the alarms and also disconnected the battery hoping the computer would reset. No luck.. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks, Annette

Try changing the switch on your keyfob , if this stops it it could be as simple as the fob's battery .

my 99 does it to or did it, all mine was some fuses were lose in the fuse box inside onthe passenger. I took it to a local chevy dealer and told me it was going to cost over $300 to fix it, so I said forget it. I was messing around and looked at all my fuses and replaced them and I dont have this problem any more. Maybe you should think about that if the problem is still there. Good Luck!

The ground for the RFT is next to the battery. If your having issues with the FOBs try cleaning that chassis ground. Here is a picture of it. I pulled the plastic tab off of the ground stud to demonstrate where the ground stud is. Yours will have the plastic sorround tab over top of the stud.

Make sure that you wire brush the stud and soak it in WD-40 before you try to remove the nut.
